Born in the Philippines and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Carmel has always wanted to find a way to connect her heritage and her love for coffee and community. She is currently based in Hong Kong and is expanding her commitment to the Philippines through her work in the labor migration industry.

A third-generation farmer, Grace grew up in Sitio Belis, initially helping her parents in and observing Kalsada’s operations. Among the first in her family to graduate from university, she now joins the team and continues to empower her community through coffee.

A coffee geek since 2010, Lacy learned to roast while writing her master’s thesis on the coffee industry in Vietnam. When she’s not roasting or cupping, she is probably topping out boulders in Fontainebleau, France.
